One of the compulsory requirements for earning the Ontario Secondary School Diploma is completing 40 hours of community involvement. The purpose of expecting students to community involvement is to encourage students to connect with the community.

Our virtual high school program redefines traditional education by offering a flexible, online alternative. Since 2017, this program has enabled students to achieve their academic goals while accommodating their individual lifestyles.

The purpose of this requirement is to enable the students to understand their responsibilities as civilians to the society. 

In relation to Mature students, Averroes Academy High School’s principal may determine how many hours of community involvement they need to have based on the grade that they have been enrolled in.
